BOURNE – A brush fire in the Bourne Scenic Park campground caused delays along the Scenic Highway (Route 6). The fire broke out around 2 p.m. One eastbound lane of the highway was closed while crews battled the fire. Sandwich Road along the Cape side of the Canal was an alternate route. The fire was brought under control in about 20 minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation…

HARWICH – A two-vehicle crash on Route 6 westbound past exit 11 brought westbound traffic at a standstill and eastbound traffic was also heavily backed up. The crash happened around 3:50 p.m. Two people were evaluated for minor injuries. State Police are investigating the crash. Harwich firefighters also checked two separate reports of possible brush fires along Route 6 near exit 10…

BOURNE – About 5 p.m., a car and motorcycle collied on the Scenic Highway (Route 6) by the Bourne Scenic Highway. The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital for evaluation. State Police are investigating.
