HYANNIS – A search got underway at Kalmus Beach off Ocean Street in Hyannis late Monday afternoon. According to reports, about 5:30 PM two windsurfers ran into distress. A woman made it to shore but a man was off his board and could not be seen. Hyannis firefighters were onscene with a boat and the Coast Guard was enroute. About 5:45 PM officials reported the male party was located by the rescue boat and was brought in to shore. He was evaluated by EMTs for possible hypothermia.
