NANTUCKET – The U.S. Coast Guard reported Saturday evening that a body has been recovered off #Nantucket matching the description of the missing kayaker from the incident on June 23rd.
Vitaly Filiutovich, the subject of the search, was last seen kayaking near shore Sunday afternoon. Filiutovich was reported missing to the Coast Guard around 4:30 p.m. Sunday June 23rd. His empty kayak was located upright shortly after searching began.
An autopsy will be performed to confirm the identity.
