BOURNE – Fire broke out at a Bourne condo around 10 AM Sunday morning. Crews were able to quickly get the flames at the Lily Pond Condos at 4 Browning Court under control. No injuries were reported. A faulty furnace was reportedly the culprit.
About an hour later, Bourne and Onset firefighters were called to the Mass Maritime Academy. An alarm had activated and smoke was reported in the Gym. The area was evacuated. Officials believe a problem with a HVAC unit was to blame.
