Updated: Suspect in custody after liquor store robbed in Bourne


BOURNE – The Bourne Bridge Liquors, also known as the “A-frame” liquor store for its iconic design was robbed at knife point late Saturday afternoon.

Bourne Police tell Cape Wide News that at approximately 5:32 PM, they received a 911 call reporting an armed robbery at Bourne Bridge Liquors located off the Bourne East Rotary at 310 Main Street. The suspect had brandished a knife during the robbery and fled the scene in an older model white Suburban/Tahoe with an amount of cash. Surrounding police agencies were advised of the Be On The Lookout (BOLO). A short time later, two Massachusetts State Police Troopers located and stopped the suspect vehicle on Route 495 in Middleboro. The cash, knife, and clothing worn were recovered. The suspect, 43-year-old Adam Hodge of Loudon, NH, was arrested and will be charged with armed robbery while masked and larceny under $1,200.
