SANDWICH – A diver was evaluated after reportedly running into distress by the East end of the Cape Cod Canal around 4:30 PM Thursday afternoon. When Sandwich authorities reached the scene, the diver had made it out of the water along with his “buddy” diver. The victim was evaluated by paramedics but declined to go to the hospital. Further details were not immediately available.
