Off duty firefighter charged with OUI after colliding with Falmouth police cruiser


FALMOUTH
From Falmouth Police: A Falmouth police officer was not injured after his patrol car was struck on Monday night.

Police said the officer was working a detail at a previous crash site on Menauhant Road near Acapesket Road when a driver entered the cordoned off area, drove over a curb and struck the officer’s parked patrol car at 11:48 pm.

The operator, 37-year-old Jay Frisbee of East Falmouth was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, operating negligently to endanger, speeding and unregistered vehicle.

No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Statement from Falmouth Town Manager Julian M. Suso: Late Monday night an off-duty Firefighter, Jay Frisbee, was operating a personal vehicle which struck a police cruiser parked at the site of a previous motor vehicle accident on Menauhant Road. No injuries have been reported. Per standard protocol, Mr. Frisbee has been placed on paid administrative leave from his position as a Firefighter-Paramedic pending a personnel investigation.
