WELLFLEET – Wellfleet Police report that Sunday at 12:55 AM, they responded to the intersection of Ocean View Drive and Cahoon Hollow Road for a report of a motor vehicle striking a pedestrian. Officers quickly learned that the vehicle had fled the scene. The vehicle was subsequently located and stopped on Long Pond Road. The operator of the vehicle, Chelsea Peck, 26, of Suffield, CT, was placed under arrest on charges of operating under the influence of liquor, operating negligently to endanger, leaving the scene of personal injury and speeding. The victim was transported to Cape Cod Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
