BOSTON – Members of the Barnstable Police Department attended the Massachusetts Law Enforcement Memorial Service at the State House last wee.
The Department was honoring Officer Edward T.R. Landers as his name was permanently etched into the Memorial.
Lt. Mark Cabral read the honor roll of officers added to the Memorial.
Officer Landers gave his life while serving the Town of Barnstable on October 17, 1984. He suffered a fatal heart attack while arresting a man who had violated a restraining order.
