Falmouth Police to hold training exercise around Island Queen Friday

FALMOUTH – The Falmouth Police Department, Barnstable County Sheriff’s Department, Mashpee Police Department, and other local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies will be conducting a training exercise at the Island Queen ferry on Friday.

Persons in the area will likely notice a large law enforcement presence at the Island Queen terminal and in the surrounding area.

Residents should not be alarmed as the increased police presence is due to a training exercise and not an actual incident.

The exercise is expected to commence in the morning and conclude in the late afternoon.

The public will not be permitted inside the training area, but Falmouth Heights Road will remain open.

Any questions may be directed to Sgt. Karl at the Falmouth Police Department at 774-255-4527 (ext. 4562) or [email protected]
