BOURNE – Firefighters were called to the Bourne Oaks housing complex after smoke was reported in one of the multi family buildings on Ash Court shortly after 1 AM. Mutual aid from Onset and Wareham responded to the scene while Plymouth and Joint Base Cape Cod FDs covered the Bourne stations. Residents were evacuated to a community building. Crews were able to locate and extinguish the fire. The attic was checked for any fire extension. No injuries were reported. Officials are reportedly investigating an electrical problem as a possible cause.
