SANDWICH – A large brush fire broke out late Saturday afternoon in Sandwich. A second alarm brought additional resources to the scene off Route 130 by the Shawmee Fish and Game Club. Firefighters were able to get around the fire quickly to cut off the spread. Crews then doused the fire as well as a second small one that was discovered nearby. No homes were damaged and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
