WEST BARNSTABLE – A pickup truck struck a utility pole around 8:45 PM Monday evening. The crash happened on Route 6A at the Sandwich line. The driver of the Toyota Tundra was taken to Cape Cod Hospital. Eversource crews were expected to work deep into the night to replace the pole forcing Route 6A to be closed while that process was underway. The crash is under investigation by Barnstable Police.
