Provincetown Deputy Fire Chief retires after nearly 40 years

PROVINCETOWN – Provincetown Fire Deputy Chief James J. Roderick retired Monday after nearly 40 years on the job.

In a post on social media, Provincetown Police recall Chief Roderick was a member of 192 serving first on the engine later transitioning to the ladder, where he also served as a volunteer EMT and member of the Board of Fire Engineers before being promoted to Deputy Chief!

It is also his birthday. Happy Birthday and Happy retirement.
