Rescuers busy on Outer Cape with bike crashes

PROVINCETOWN – As thousands of bicyclists made their way to Provincetown as part of the Pan Mass Challenge, outer Cape rescuers were kept bust with several bike crashes. One occurred on Long Pond Road in Wellfleet. Most of the mishaps happened along Route 6 in the North Truro and Provincetown stretch. There were instances of riders falling from bikes or crashing into other bikes. No vehicles were involved in the crashes. A handful of riders were taken by ambulance to Caoe Cod Hospital. None of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.
