Stop The Bleed classes offered in Orleans

ORLEANS – The Orleans Citizens Forum and the Orleans Fire and Rescue Department concluded their 2019 training classes in November. Over 265 people were trained in the 10 classes conducted from January through November. All classes were filled.

This exceptionally successful program is a direct result of the expertise and professionalism of Orleans Fire Chief Tony Pike and his team including Administrative Assistant Melissa Clayton and  Firefighters Tom Pellegrino, Dana Medeiros, Aaron Burns, Leslie Vasconcellos, Greg Baker, Steve Thomas and Kevin Delude who conducted the hands-on training along with Nauset Beach EMT’s Hank Rex, Kyle DeFrancesco and Marjorie DeBrosky.  Orleans Natural Resources Manager Nate Sears participated also.  The Orleans Police Department and the Orleans Senior Center provided the use of their facilities as training sites.

Due to the success of this critical public service program, we are scheduling 3 more classes in the first quarter of 2020. They will be held on Tuesdays, January 21, February 25 and March 24. Each class will be held at the Orleans Police Department from 3:30 – 5:30 PM. Registration information can be found on the website here.

Classes fill quickly so please register early.
