Two Cape fire chiefs announce retirement

CAPE COD – Two Cape Cod fire chiefs have announced their retirement plans:

In Harwich, Chief Norman E. Clarke Jr. told the selectmen he will retire on July 18th, 2020. Clark joined the department in 1977 and served for 43 years, being appointed Chief in 2011.

In Orleans, Chief Anthony “Tony” Pike is also planning to retire in 2020 after 40 years of service. Pike started as a call firefighter in 1979, becoming full time in 1988. He was appointed chief in 2014.
