YARMOUTH – From Yarmouth Police: On Thursday December 13, 2018 at approximately 8:47 a.m. the Yarmouth Police Department and Yarmouth Fire Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle vs. pedestrian accident in the parking lot of the Dunkin’ Donuts on Forest Road in South Yarmouth. Upon arrival, members of the Yarmouth Fire Department began immediate treatment of the injured pedestrian. The pedestrian, a 77-year-old woman from South Yarmouth, was transported to Cape Cod Hospital with serious injuries to her lower extremities. The driver, a 51-year-old male from South Yarmouth, remained on scene and was cooperative with the investigating officers.
The accident is under investigation by the Yarmouth Police Crash Reconstruction Team and the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Department Bureau of Criminal Investigation. The name of the pedestrian is not being released at this time pending notification of family members.
