Mid-Cape Home Centers Takes Home Six Industry Awards

The Massachusetts Lumber and Building Industry boasts an impressive awards season with two high-end events that bring hundreds of industry players together for a friendly competition of construction projects, design work, marketing events and campaigns, and so much more. This year Mid-Cape, a division of USLBM, was honored to receive two BRICC awards and four PRISM Awards.

The BRICC Awards are hosted bi-annually on Cape Cod by the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Cape Cod (HBRACC). This October, Mid-Cape and in-house Kitchen and Bath Designer, Donna Benoit, won Gold in ‘Kitchen Remodel under $100k’. Mid-Cape also took home Silver for ‘Best Marketing Program, Event or Series’ for their Educational Campaign for Builders and Contractors which they implemented this past year. This campaign spans from their social media content to in-person events, offering their customers a true ‘Experience that Builds’, as their motto states. An opportunity as well as a promise to their customers to offer educationally focused content, licensing opportunities, product and vendor demonstrations, and more to help ensure a well-educated local building community.

Alongside HBRACC, The Building and Remodeling Association of Greater Boston (BRAGB) hosts the Annual PRISM Awards, which took place for a second year in a row at the Museum of Science, Boston. This gala recognizes the finest projects and outstanding achievements of professionals in the home building industry. After years of growing, developing and perfecting their social media strategy, Mid-Cape was thrilled to win a Gold PRISM for their Educational Builder and Contractor Campaign that was an integral part of their Marketing Campaign for which they won at the BRICC Awards. In addition, Mid-Cape was also honored with a Gold award for Best Event for their now, Bi-Annual First Responder Event. A community focused event aimed to showcase both their own and the community’s appreciation for the First Responder community through fundraising on behalf of the Sean M. Gannon Memorial Fund. Another community focused initiative, Mid-Cape’s Tommy’s Place Fundraiser, which raised over $48k for the incredible local non-profit, was awarded Silver in the ‘Community Spirit’ category. A category that Mid-Cape has been recognized in for the past 5 years in a row. Lastly, Mid-Cape launched their Women in the Industry Logo this Spring with their Women’s Demo Day Event Series. The logo, which is used for event promotions, on t-shirts raising funds for the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition and on social media, portrays the strength and leadership it takes for women to be respected in the LBM Industry. The team proudly took a Silver Award home for this logo in the ‘Best Logo’ category. This win was particularly meaningful as the team is working to help create a paradigm shift in the way women participate and are viewed in the industry.

One can recognize from these awards that beyond heavily supporting and encouraging women in the industry, the Mid-Cape team is invested in reimagining the way marketing is utilized within the LBM community, an often-underutilized function. This local team is making enough waves that they have had their campaigns nationally recognized. Director of Marketing, Crystal Pieschel shares, “We are first and foremost a building materials supplier, and we put a lot of effort into deeply supporting our local communities as well as providing added value to our building partners. We’re constantly doing more than meets the eye to encourage and support evolution in the industry both locally and nationally, and these recognitions show us we have the support to continue making an impact.”
