Picture 4 of 6

This country store claims to have served everyone from first graders to First Ladies. Selling nautical wares, quirky gifts and rows of penny candy, the 1856 Country Store is the perfect stop to find quaint treasures in Centerville. Two benches sit outside the shop: one labeled ‘Democrats,’ the other, ‘Republicans.’ The building itself has been around since the 1840’s—and originally stored cranberries after the harvest and eventually became a shoe store. In 1856, it was converted into a general store.
