WEST BARNSTABLE – To raise the awareness of the region’s opioid epidemic for students and faculty, Cape Cod Community College is hosting an overdose education and NARCAN training event Monday.
Attendees will learn how to recognize the signs of an overdose and how to respond using breathing and reversal drugs.
The program is being led by Donna Mello, a harm reduction manager with the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod, and begins at 2 p.m. in Lecture Hall B.
The event is free and open to the public.
