DENNIS – The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod held its special VIP reception last week at the Hyannisport Club.
The event featured an auction of the official artwork for the 30th annual Citizens Bank Pops by the Sea concert.
Artist Richard Loud painted the piece which serves as the event’s commemorative painting and limited edition lithograph.
Arts Foundation Executive Director David Kaplan said he’s happy with the artwork.
“It’s a large piece, really beautiful. It relates to the Pops but is also just a great piece of art on its own,” said Kaplan.
The painting was auctioned off on June 19 during the reception, with all proceeds benefitting the Arts Foundation.
One-hundred lithographs, signed and numbered, were made from the painting and the first three were also auctioned off at the event.
The rest of the lithographs are now on sale and will be available at the concert, which takes place on August 9 on the Hyannis Village Green.
Copies of the painting will also go on the concert’s program and other promotional material.
