Arts Foundation of Cape Cod Hosts “Creative Exchange”

Arts Foundation of Cape CodHYANNIS – Members from a number of Cape Cod organizations gathered in Hyannis on Tuesday to attend the “Creative Exchange” which was hosted by the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod (AFCC).

Formerly known as the “Creative Collaborative”, the conference was held at the DoubleTree Hotel and featured interactive panel discussions and a professional development track.

“The arts community is essential to Cape Cod and so it’s really important for our creative economy and all the players within the creative economy to have the opportunity to network, to be inspired, to exchange ideas,” said AFCC Executive Director Julie Wake.

The goal of the conference was to create opportunities for the attendees to connect with each other, be inspired and exchange ideas.

A number of Cape Cod organizations were represented at the event, including MASSCreative, the Cotuit Center for the Arts, Cape Cod Community College and the Provincetown Art Association and Museum.

The conference ended with a debate between Cape and Islands State Senate candidates Julian Cyr and Anthony Schiavi.

Provincetown Director of Tourism Anthony Fuccillo attended the event to network with other groups and organizations.

“We wanted to learn more about how we can collaborate as a community and collaborate with other communities to make arts and culture a stronger tourism destination for people to visit the Cape and Islands,” said Fuccillo.
