Cape Cod Foundation Accepting Applications for Animal Welfare Grants

SOUTH YARMOUTH – Local nonprofit organizations benefitting animals and wildlife can now apply for grants from the Cape Cod Foundation.

The organization’s Thomas C. McGowan Fund provided nearly $40,000 to 10 local groups last year that support care clinics, marine life rescue, rehabilitation efforts, and spay and neuter programs. Since its inception, the fund has provided more than $228,000 in grants.

The fund was established by the late Thomas McGowan, a longtime supporter of animal welfare efforts on Cape Cod.

Interested organizations need to submit applications for funding by Friday, December 1. Applications can be submitted online at capecodfoundation.org.
