CCEDC Inc. Receives $35,000 Grant from Regional Economic Development Organization

HYANNIS – The Cape Cod Economic Development Council Inc. (CCEDC), has a received a $35,000 Regional Economic Development Organization (REDO) grant from the state Office of Business Development for fiscal year 2017.

The CCEDC Inc. REDO covers Cape Cod and the islands and works with partners in the region.

This year, a new grant partner includes the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce.

“We are honored to continue our role as the state’s regional partner to grow jobs and economic stability,” said Cape Cod Chamber CEO Wendy Northcross. “Funding will help us continue to brand the region as a great place to live, work, play and create, and with our new partners in Plymouth, expand on the Blue Economy Project.”

The REDO grant will support the creation of new workforce development programs in Barnstable, Dukes, Nantucket and Plymouth counties, sponsor the annual Coastal Conference in Hyannis and continue the annual Startup Weekend and Business Path Pitch Contests.
