COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Ted Cruz is needling rival Donald Trump over the billionaire businessman’s reluctance to release his tax information.
On Saturday night, Cruz joined Marco Rubio in releasing tax information. Cruz says he put out just a two-page summary because that’s what Rubio released. He says he’ll release more if the Florida senator does, too.
Speaking to reporters ahead of a rally in Little Rock, Arkansas, Cruz speculated that Trump could be holding back his tax information to hide exaggerations about his wealth or the support of left-leaning groups.
Rubio called Trump a “con artist” while Trump said Rubio was a “nothing.”
