WEST YARMOUTH – The town of Yarmouth will be closing Route 28 Thursday night in West Yarmouth.
The closure is between Town Brook Road and Camp Street from 9 p.m. through 5 a.m.
Crews will be working on emergency bypass pumping at the Baxter Grist Mill Dam Restoration Project.
Route 28 eastbound traffic will be detoured at Town Brook Road to Buck Island Road to Camp Street. Westbound traffic will be detoured at Camp Street to Buck Island Road to Town Brook Road.
Similar work is scheduled for Sunday evening but may be canceled due to rain.
Police details will be on site at all times for traffic control & public assistance.
