CHATHAM – The Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen’s Alliance has raised $20,000 for the “Fish for Families” program.
That money will go towards serving 38,000 meals to more than 20,000 families on Cape Cod in 2016.
The Giving Tuesday campaign, which raised money for the program on December 1, reached nearly 11,000 people on Facebook.
The Family Pantry of Cape Cod will distribute 2,000 pounds of mackerel early next month that was caught by Captain John Our.
Over 110 donors made a gift on Giving Tuesday, including staff of the Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen’s Alliance.
