SOUTH YARMOUTH – Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod has been selected as a beneficiary this month of the Stop & Shop Community Bag Program.
The new program, which launched May 1, facilitates community support through the sale of reusable bags.
Habitat will receive $1 for every $2.50 reusable bag purchased at the South Yarmouth Stop & Shop this month.
Shoppers can use the “Giving Tag” attached to bags purchased at any Stop & Shop location to direct the funds to other organizationa or to Habitat for Humanity during any month of the year.
