HYANNIS – The Hyannis Harbor Hawks will host their second annual pizza fest tomorrow on the Town Green in front of Hyannis Town Hall.
The event features kid friendly activities, a 50/50 raffle, music provided by CCB Media, a celebrity pizza eating contest, ice cream, and the chance to get autographs and play catch with Harbor Hawks players.
“There’s a pizza eating contest, people vote for the best pizza, we do a 50/50 raffle, the players are there so if you want autographs or you want to play catch with a Cape League player you can do that,” said Harbor Hawks President Brad Pfeifer.
“It’s just kind of four hours of activity.”
All you can eat pizza will be provided by eight local restaurants: Ten Pin Eatery, B&B Pizza, Portside Tavern, Colombo’s Café, Palio’s Pizza, Jack’s Lounge, Craigville Sub & Pizza, and Regina Pizzeria.
People in attendance will get the chance to try out pizza from all of the restaurants and vote for the best pizza in town.
Last year’s champion Palio’s looks to defend their crown, “There’s eight pizza restaurants coming and Palio’s is the reigning champion, they’re coming back to defend their title,” continued Pfeifer.
Cape Cod Beer will also operate a pop-up beer garden so that patrons can enjoy an ice cold beverage along with the food.
The event is sponsored by Hy-Line cruises and is set to take place Sunday, July 14th from 12 to 4 p.m.
Tickets are $15 purchased in advance or $20 at the door, kids under ten years old get in for free.
