Lt. Gov. Attending Cape Cod Events

TRURO – Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito will spend her day on Cape Cod attending a number of events on Thursday.

Polito will join Truro town officials to celebrate the transfer of state-owned land to the town for a mixed income housing development. A ceremony is planned for 10:30 a.m. at Truro Town Hall.

Since 2015, the state has been turning over vacant or underutilized properties as part of the “Open for Business” program to cities and towns for a series of projects and developments.

The Lt. Gov. will then travel to Sandwich for to speak at the Sandwich Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting. The meeting begins at 12 at the Sandwich Taverna on Route 130.

At 1:30, Polito will attend a ceremony at the Bourne Veterans Memorial Community Building in Buzzards Bay, where a series of MassWorks Infrastructure Program grants will be announced.

The program has provided over $274 million to 106 municipalities for a variety of projects since 2015.
