CHATHAM – Sewer installation will continue in Chatham in the coming weeks with a number of roads in town in line for construction activity.
Starting Tuesday, work crews will be installing gravity sewer on Shattuck Place. That phase of the project is expected to last until Friday.
For much of June, construction will then move to Grist Mill Lane, Tide Mill Lane, Wind Mill, and Winberry Way. Additional work is also planned for Shattuck Place and Shattuck Lane.
Officials project that phase of construction will run until June 22.
The work schedule is weather dependent.
Police will be on hand to direct motorists around the construction zone. The road affected by the sewer installation will be open nights, weekends, and holidays to traffic.
Regular work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., but could be extended to 7 p.m. in special circumstances.
More information on the ongoing construction effort can be found at www.chathamscproject.info and the town’s website.
