New Barnstable Assistant Town Manager Begins Position

HYANNIS – New Barnstable Assistant Town Manager Andy Clyburn began his new position last week.

Clyburn, who was appointed by Barnstable Town Council in February, was previously Commanding Officer of Coast Guard Base Cape Cod.

Among Clyburn’s first activities was the opening of the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum’s centennial exhibit, “JFK at 100: Life & Legacy.”

Clyburn was chosen from an initial pool of 156 candidates.

Town Manager Mark Ells previously served as Assistant Town Manager under former Town Manager Tom Lynch.
