New Plans Approved In Falmouth

FALMOUTH – The updated plan for a proposed ConvenientMD facility has been approved by the Falmouth Planning Board.   The company has a chain of urgent care clinics.

Architect Scott Griffin and Kenneth Caputo of Caputo Project Delivery, brought color plans and samples of various building materials to present to the Board at a recent meeting.

Members were hesitant regarding previous plans, expressing concern about how the building would fit in with the rest of the area.  Caputo was very optimistic about the new plans and the proposed location.  “We’re very excited to have reached an architectural design theme that fits the community well.  We have an opportunity now to turn the corner of Davis Straights and Dillingham Avenue into a very special place.”

Chairman James fox was pleased to see a more residential look.  “It’s Cape Cod, and we have a lot of residential buildings in our commercial area.”

Mr. Scott, acknowledging that there had been concern about stone being used around the base of the building, said the plans now call for a trim element which is more in keeping with the area’s Architecture.

Board member Patricia kerfoot was very happy with the updated plans and impressed with the presentation.  “I like the thickening of the columns.  I like what you’ve done with the changes and I can see why you chose this rendering of it.”

Caputo and Scott were thanked for incorporating ideas that had been previously discussed.
