Officials Urge Residents to Secure Items Ahead of Winds

DENNIS – With high winds and precipitation in the forecast, the Dennis Police Department is urging residents to secure items around their property or bring them inside during the storm conditions.

They have also opened the station Community Room as a temporary warming shelter for those who lose power and heat.

Officials said that if there is demand for a larger warming shelter, then the town will open the Dennis Council on Aging Center in South Dennis on Route 134.
