COTUIT – The Cotuit Center for the Arts will be presenting “Out of Africa” early next month at their art studio.
The program is a collaborative performance which showcases the marimba and world drumming.
The musicians have focused on the common origins and development of their instruments, and will perform separately and together in a range of musical styles – from classical to African and Latin American traditional music, to the American Songbook.
There will be opportunities for audience participation, and information will be shared about the instruments and the different musical styles.
This unique program should appeal to families and people of all ages.
“Out of Africa” at Cotuit Center for the Arts will take place on Wednesday, February 7th at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $25, $23 for seniors and veterans, and $20 for members.
