YARMOUTH – Construction work at the Parkers River Bridge will cause the span to close temporarily beginning Thursday night at 7 p.m.
Work will continue into the afternoon.
All local businesses will remain open and accessible during construction time, and access to all residencies will be available.
Detours will be in place at Winslow Grey Road and Long Pond Drive, off of Route 28. The only section of road that will be completely closed will be at the bridge.
Police details will be on hand to direct traffic and offer assistance.
The Yarmouth Department of Public Works is advising travelers to give themselves extra time tonight and tomorrow due to the closure.
