PTV Hosts 5th Annual #Ptown24 Summer Edition Event

PROVINCETOWN – The 5th Annual #Ptown24 Summer Edition kicks off today and runs until early tomorrow.

Provincetown Community Television (PTV) is hosting the event, which is a collaborative community media project that asks residents and visitors to work together to document 24 hours of life in Provincetown.

“It’s really fun, it’s like peeking into someone’s family album,” said PTV Executive Director Amy Davies. “It takes all of the good things about social media and puts it in one place.”

Participants are asked to take a photo or video of their day in Provincetown and upload it to their Facebook group #ptown24.

They also have to state when and where the photo or video was taken.

The only rule is that the images must be made in Provincetown from 6 a.m. July 24 to 6 a.m. July 25.

A 5th Anniversary Celebration will also take place today at PTV at 4pm, where participants can meet their friends and enjoy cake and goodies.

“It’s really just about people sharing with each other,” said Davies. “It’s a very positive event to show what’s important for people in their day.”
