SANDWICH – Local legislators will participate in a minimum wage workshop this morning in Sandwich.
The Sandwich Chamber of Commerce program will feature State Senator Vinny deMacedo (R-Plymouth) and State Representative Randy Hunt (R-Sandwich).
The workshop will discuss a proposed ballot question to increase the state’s minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2022.
The proposal would increase the wage by $1 each year from 2019 until reaching $15.
The current minimum wage in Massachusetts is $11 the second highest in the country behind the District of Columbia’s $11.50.
