Schiavi Receives Endorsement from Mass Laborers’ District Council

HYANNIS – The Massachusetts and Northern New England Laborers’ District Council, has announced its official support of Tony Schiavi’s candidacy.

The council represents nearly 25,000 general construction laborers and public employees.

“Your tireless advocacy of issues and protections benefiting working class families has been commendable,” said Joseph Bonfiglio, the council’s business manager.

“We are confident that your passion and commitment to these issues will best serve the interests of our members and all hard working men and women in Massachusetts.”

Schiavi, a retired Brigadier General and former Town Manager and Police Commissioner, is running against Barnstable Town Councilor Jim Crocker for the Republican nomination.

The primary election is September 8.
