Shark Activity Reported at Several Outer Cape Beaches Tuesday

WELLFLEET – Several more shark sightings have been confirmed Tuesday on Outer Cape beaches.

According to the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy’s Sharktivity app, a shark was spotted about 30 yards from shore by all lifeguards at Coast Guard Beach in Eastham late in the afternoon. The beach was closed to swimming for the day at 4 p.m.

Two sharks were spotted about a mile off Marconi Beach in Wellfleet late this morning and water activities were limited to wading.

Ballston Beach in Truro was closed around 7:30 a.m. for an hour due to a great white sighting.

And Orleans confirmed a predation about 50 yards off Nauset Beach just before 11 a.m., which closed the beach to swimming for an hour.
