NEW BEDFORD – Southcoast Health, which operates Tobey Hospital in Wareham, has been named one of the three finalists for Boston Business Journal’s Healthiest Employer award.
The finalists are chosen from an assessment of 75 scored questions completed by participating organizations.
The finalist’s scores and rankings will be revealed at an event at Community Rowing Inc. in Boston on August 3. Honorees will also be featured in a special section of the journal on the same day.
“We are excited to be honored to be one of the finalists selected this year,” said Kris Aimone, wellness coordinator for Southcoast Health. “It shows that our employee wellness program, HealthQuest, ranks with the best of the best. This is an excellent reflection of Southcoast Health’s commitment to the health of their employees and the communities in which we serve.”
The journal evaluated nominees with its third-party research and survey manager, Springbuk. The initiatives were evaluated in the areas of leadership commitment, foundational components, strategic planning, communication and marketing, programming and interventions, and reporting and analysis.
Southcoast Health also operates Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River and St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford.
