Ticket Deadline Approaches for Family Pantry Summer Gala

HARWICH – Time is running out to purchase tickets for The Family Pantry of Cape Cod’s Summer Gala.

The event is June 9 at the Wychmere Beach Club in Harwich Port.

The event includes live music, food and the presentation of the organization’s awards.

The Founders Award recognizes a person or organization that demonstrates dedication and passion for helping their neighbors across the Cape. This year’s recipient is The Cape Cod Potters and Soup Bowls for Hunger.  

The President’s Award recognizes a person or organization that has consistently demonstrated a significant commitment to the Pantry’s mission of providing food and clothing to those in need.  

This year The Chatham Wayside Inn Owners, Shane Coughlin and Gail & David Oppenheim, will be recognized for over 25 years of support of the Family Pantry.

The Inaugural Thomas P. (Tip) O’Neill Award is a new award in 2019 and is given to a person or organization that embodies all that Tip O’Neill stood for in his life as a legislator and human being.

The inaugural award will be given to Thomas Croswell of Tufts Health Plan for their continuing support of The Family Pantry and their mission to “improve the health and wellness of the communities they serve”.

The deadline to purchase tickets is Friday, May 31.

The Family Pantry is the largest food pantry on Cape Cod and serves anyone in need with no restrictions, geographic or otherwise.
