Valentine’s Gala to Benefit Opera Theater of Cape Cod

WELLFLEET – Love is in the air as Valentine’s Day approaches and a benefit concert will be held for the Opera Theater of Cape Cod.

“Some Enchanted Evening: A Valentine’s Gala” is Saturday, February 16 at 7 p.m. at Wellfleet Preservation Hall.

The gala offers a night of opera music and musical theater favorites.

The program’s theme is love and all of its variations and features select works from Verdi, Dvorak, Rodgers, Sondheim, Gounod and Puccini.

Performing artists include soprano Isabelle Zeledón, mezzo-sprano Eileen Christiansen, tenor Fausto Miro, baritone Thomas Lynch.

Proceeds from the performance will fund the theater’s production of Puccini’s “La bohème.”

The theater debuted in 2018 as a chamber opera company dedicated to bringing high quality and accessible opera performances to the Cape Cod Community.

The organization’s vision is to enrich Cape Cod’s vital art scene with high quality singing and storytelling.

Tickets for gala are $50 and can be purchased online at bpt.me.

Black-tie dress for the event is encouraged, but optional.
