CHATHAM – The Chatham Council on Aging will welcome a local and national vocal artist to perform at its Gourmet Luncheon and Concert later this month.
Candida Rose will perform during the event on Monday, January 28 at noon.
Rose entertains audiences with a voice that combines the overtones and undertones of jazz, rhythm and blues, and gospel with a hint of international spice.
She developed her repertoire from over 20 years of experience singing with locally and nationally known jazz, R&B, and funk bands.
Candida has performed during several inaugurations for mayors of New Bedford and at several events for former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick.
She also travels the South Coast region of the state and various areas of Rhode Island singing for Senior Centers and other groups.
The menu for the luncheon includes chicken parmesan with baked ziti, Caesar salad, and angel food cake with berry sauce.
Tickets for the luncheon and concert are $9. Reservations are required and can be made by contacting the Chatham Council on Aging at 508-945-5190.
Transportation will be available.
