Wareham Hosts 6th Annual Oyster Festival Sunday

WAREHAM, Mass. (AP) — Wareham is the place to be for mollusk lovers on Sunday.

The town is hosting its 6th Annual Oyster Festival.

Shellfish purveyors from throughout southeastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod and the Islands, and Rhode Island will be in attendance to show off their catch.

There are also plenty of other food options and live music, as well as crafters and artisans selling their wares.

The day starts with a 5K road race and walk to benefit the local Boys and Girls Club.

Police are reminding people that a section of Main Street in town will be closed to vehicle traffic during the festival. Visitors are encouraged to park at the town hall and take a shuttle to the event.
