Wareham Man Faces Several Drug Distribution Charges

WAREHAM – A traffic stop by Wareham police on a vehicle without an inspection sticker last night led to the arrest of a man on multiple drug distribution charges.

Matthew Cole, 25, of Wareham, faces several charges after police say they found, 8 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine, marijuana, 375 ml’s of morphine liquid and distribution supplies in the vehicle.

According to police, the officer noticed the suspect attempt to place something under the driver’s seat before the car was stopped.

The distribution materials included a digital scale, loose sandwich bags, four cell phones, two syringes and two spill-proof bottles to dispense the morphine liquid. They also found $394 in cash.

Cole faces charges of possession with intent to distribute a class B substance (cocaine), trafficking over 200 grams of a class A substance (morphine), possession of a class D substance with intent to distribute (marijuana) and operating an uninspected motor vehicle.

Cole was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday morning in Wareham 4th District Court.
