Wellfleet to Hold Annual Shellfishing Gear Cleanup

WELLFLEET – Winter ice dragged clam nets and oyster racks around Wellfleet Harbor and volunteers are needed to help clean them up.

Wellfleet’s Shellfish Advisory Board and Shellfish Department will hold their annual beach cleanup May 11.

Fishermen and volunteers will meet at Mayo Beach at 9 a.m. for assignments on where to collect shellfishing gear and other trash.

The Wellfleet DPW will provide dumpsters at Mayo Beach and the Marina.
