We all know that Christmas is the time of giving… But all too often, we overlook giving to the people who need our help the most. This holiday season, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, Child and Family Services and Mid-Cape Home Centers have reached out to the Cape Cod community to make sure the families in our own neighborhoods do not go without this Christmas. Family of four experiencing financial hardships in need of support this holiday season. Mom is the sole financial provider for the family as one parent needs to stay home to care for two children with significant medical and mental health struggles. Mom works as much as she can, however with one income and the increase cost of living, the family is struggling to get by. The family recently experienced some flooding after a storm, especially impacting one of the child’s bedrooms, resulting in the need to get rid of many of his belongings. Any support would be appreciated. Child #1: is a 10 year old boy who likes Pokémon, Legos, and five nights at Freddy’s. He enjoys Pokémon cards and would appreciate a new “soft and fluffy” blanket. Child #2: is a 6 year old girl who enjoys Legos, Pokémon, and anything Sonic the Hedgehog. She would benefit from sweatshirts or dresses size XL. She wishes for a new “soft and fluffy” blanket. Mom and Dad would both appreciate sweatshirts (both size XL) and socks. They would benefit from gas/grocery gift cards.
