New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills
1 PM Sunday

The Patriots have dominated the AFC East without much opposition in the Brady-Belichick era. It remains to be seen how good the Bills truly are this year, but many believe this could be the best Bills team since the turn of the century. That probably won’t be good enough to top the Pats in the standings by the end of the year, but this will be a tough game for the Patriots nonetheless. Division games are hard to win in the NFL, no matter how good or bad the competition seems. If there’s one thing for certain, Tom Brady and company will have to deal with 72,000 hostile Bills fans at Ralph Wilson who are desperate for a winner. If you’ve ever been to this game, you know it’s long been viewed as the biggest game of the year in Buffalo.

Red Sox at Toronto Blue Jays
Friday-Sunday

While the Red Sox may have been out of the playoff race in June (or May…or April), they’ve been playing some good baseball as of late, sparked by the young players that will hopefully be the foundation of a competitive team next season. The Sox head to Toronto to take on the division leading Jays, perhaps the best team in baseball since the trading deadline. Given the way both teams have played of late, this should be a competitive series, despite only being meaningful for Toronto.

New York Yankees at New York Mets
Friday-Sunday

The subway series is often overhyped (it’s New York against New York, what do you expect?) but this year, it’s lives up to the hype, since both teams are competitive for the first time in a long time. The Yankees are trying to catch Toronto in the AL East, and the Mets are putting the finishing touches on their best season in years and are looking ahead to the playoffs. Mets fans are hungry for a winner, and that energy should come out this weekend with the Yankees catching the train over to Citi Field.

Golf: BMW Championship
Thursday-Sunday

Who needs Tiger? This has been a great year for golf, with young golfers like Jordan Spieth, Jason Day, and Rickie Fowler notching a series of tour wins and establishing themselves as the faces of the sport’s new generation. The BMW Championship is the third event in the Fedex Cup playoffs. Day, fresh off wins at the PGA Championship and the Barclays, leads in the standings, while Fowler looks to continue his hot play and grab another win following the Deutsche Bank Championship in Boston over Labor Day weekend.

English Premier League: West Ham United v. Manchester City
12:30 PM Saturday

Forget college football on Saturday afternoon and watch some football. West Ham enters the match at 3-0-2, while powerhouse City enters at a perfect 5-0 in the EPL. Can the upstart Hammers pull off an upset on the road in Manchester?
